Herbs Spotlight!

One of my favorite things about winter is how cozy it feels to relax with a nice, warm cup of tea.

The only thing better than snuggling up with a hot cup of tea? Snuggling up with a hot cup of tea that naturally supports mood and elevates your energy levels!

This tea from Yogi is one of my favorites to boost energy this time of year.

Here are the herbs that make it special:

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is traditionally used to boost stress tolerance, performance, and endurance. In Ayurveda (one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems), this root is known as a “grounding herb” because of how great it is for the body’s metabolic processes. Ashwagandha is known for helping with stress and anxiety, and supporting positive moods.

Asian ginseng

Asian ginseng root, also known as Panax ginseng, is often used in the United States and Asia to support general health. It’s an “adaptogenic herb,” which means it helps the body adapt and respond well to physical and emotional stress. Asian ginseng can also help support cognitive function and stamina.

Eleuthero

Eleuthero is considered Asian ginseng’s cousin. It’s been used by Siberian natives similarly to how Asian ginseng is used, to promote overall health. Eleuthero has traditionally been used to help with long-term stamina.

This tea has great ingredients, and tastes great too. I also love that it’s USDA certified organic, and doesn’t contain any GMOs. Score!

Next time you need a little boost, or just need a moment to relax and refresh, take a few minutes to warm up with a cup of this tea, and the winter blues will melt away.

Here's to your health,

Dr Mead
